Sprite disappears from canvas after restarting iPhone device

For the GameLoop chapter of Beginning SpriteKit, the sprite appears on the canvas at the start as expected. If I restart the app in the simulator, it always appears there.

However, once I install the app on an actual device and then restart the device, the sprite does not appear on the canvas at startup.

Any suggestions?

Never mind the question. It seems to work now. Nothing changed … it was probably just my imagination!
