PDF Version 3rd edition?

Hi,

Will there be a PDF version of the 3rd edition? I’m relying heavily on the way I can make notes, annotations, drawings etc in PDF documents. ePub is so extremely limited in this respect…
Also, I have set up a library of eBooks using the filesystem (external of an application). This organization makes it easy for me to find material I need for projects. You guys know that it isn’t possible to annotate ePub files in iBook while saving a copy in the filesystem?

EPub feels like a major(!) step backwards. Online reading isn’t even an option to consider for me.
