Apple Pencil pressure value shown as 0

I used Unity3D for creating a drawing app with the apple pencil. The touch.pressure always returns 0 for Pencil. Im using the iPAD pro 2017. The touch is detected, maximum force is shown as ~4.1 and touchsupported is true. Yet Apple pencil value stays at 0. Please help!
